"Jirakaan serves Thai food from recorded old recipe of Ratanakosin Era inherited from the reign of King Rama 2. The most prosperous years of cuisine evolution is during the reign of King Rama 5 when Thailand started to have printing/publishing house and royal family members who had been assigned to work in royal kitchen started to share their families' recipe to public. Thai cuisine has been drastically changing, developing, evolving since then. We trace back how Thai people eat in the past both in Palace and Village and revive those beautiful memories onto the plates at Jirakaan. No pork menu and all meats are from halal sources."
